To better protect your privacy, we, Uber Network Ltd. and our affiliates and subsidiaries (collectively, ‘UberNet’, ‘we’, ‘us’, or ‘our’), provide this Privacy Policy explaining how we collect, use, and disclose Information (defined below) that we obtain about visitors to our websites and the products and services available through our Sites or Services to other sites. We also explain the choices you can make about the way your Information is collected and used through our Sites or Services.

This site is owned and operated by Uber Network Ltd, in order to operate the site and to deliver our goods and services the company collects, uses and is responsible for certain personal information about you.

When we do so we are regulated under the General Data Protection Regulation which applies across the European Union (and in the United Kingdom) and we are responsible as ‘controller’ of that personal information for the purposes of those laws.

As some UberNet affiliates are based outside of the European Economic Area, these affiliates have appointed Uber Network Limited to be their representative within the EEA as necessary. Contact details are available.

Personal Information We Collect

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or services that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as ‘Device Information.’

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

Additionally when you make create an affiliate account, or attempt to create an account, through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, Post Affiliate Pro Account ID, website ownership, address, payment information (including PayPal ID or bank details), email address, phone number and VAT number (if applicable). We refer to this information as ‘Account Information.’

This information is mandatory, which means that it will not be possible to hold an account on the Site without it.

In line with UK regulations on money laundering and high-value transactions all Affiliates who earn more that $10,000 (ten thousand US dollars in a calendar year) have to provide documentary verification of their ID.

When we talk about ‘Personal Information’ in this Privacy Policy, we are talking about both Device Information and Account Information.

How Do We Use Your Personal Information?

We use the Account Information that we collect generally to assign and pay commission on sales placed through the sites for which we manage an Affiliate Program (including processing your payment information, providing you with statements and providing account support). Additionally, we use this Order Information to:

  • Communicate with you, on issues and opportunities.
  • Screen our traffic for potential risk or fraud.
  • Ensure compliance with our affiliate terms and conditions.
  • Satisfy our legal obligations to various regulatory bodies on distance selling
  • Review the functionality and effectiveness of the Site.
  • Analyse trends.
  • Manage and administer our affiliate marketing programs
  • Maintain tax and revenue records

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Sites (for example, by generating analytics about how our affiliates interact with the Site and to assess the success of marketing and advertising campaigns).

Sharing Your Personal Information

We share your Personal Information with third parties as Data Processors to help us use your Personal Information.

We require all third parties to respect the security of your personal information and to treat it in accordance with the law. We only permit them to process your personal information for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions.

  • Please note that we will use the information supplied on your account at the time payment is due UberNet is not responsible in any way for the security or accuracy of this information.

  • Please note that we do not have access to or seek transactional details from the sites for which we provide an Affiliate program. We are not the Data Controller or a Data Processor for this information.
  • We may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.
  • Finally – and to clarify – we will specifically not disclose contact info when we receive a complaint from another business about the content of an affiliate’s website but we do reserve the right to review the content in terms of legitimacy, conduct and the terms of our affiliate agreement.

Do Not Track

Please note that we do not alter the Sites’ data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.

If you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example for payment of commissions), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests. GDPR Necessity

We need to process your personal information in order to:

  • Perform our contract with you (see Article 6.1.b of the GDPR).
  • Comply with our legal obligations (see Article 6.1.c of the GDPR).
  • Pursue legitimate business interests of our own related to operating the Site and providing our services to you, or to pursue the legitimate interests of third parties as long as your interests and fundamental rights do not override those interests (see Article 6.1.f of the GDPR).

Data Retention

When you register an account through the Site, we will maintain your Account Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information. Inactive data that is not subject to mandatory storage periods is deleted after two years.

The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 18.

Data Controller

Uber Network Ltd is the Data Controller of the Account Data you enter to create and maintain your account.

We are also the Data Controller of the information which is disclosed to other services as Data Processors.

We are data processors for websites for which we provide an Affiliate Marketing program.

Affiliates are the Data Controller for content they choose to disclose on their site and for any personal data disclosed when they connect their Social Network profile(s) with our profiles.

Upon receiving your request, we will let you know what personal information we have about you and whether that data is portable.

We reserve the right to block access to our sites and delete your Account on the Site if, in our assessment, we find anything violates applicable laws, third party rights or our Affiliate Agreement or is inconsistent with the purpose of the Site.

If we block access to or delete your Account, we will inform you of the reason for blocking or deleting your Account by sending an email to the address you provided when you created your Account.

A block notice on an account will last for two years and is considered a legitimate business purpose under Article 6.1.f of the GDPR and not subject to deletion upon request.

In addition to the rights set out above concerning your Personal Data, you also have the following rights:

  • You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data and have the processing of your personal data restricted.
